Seferina Baca

Seferina Baca (b.1997) is a Mexican-American composer from Los Lunas, New Mexico. She has composed music for chamber winds, orchestra, and concert band. She holds a B.A. in Music with a Concentration in Music Theory & Composition from the University of New Mexico. Her works have been performed in the United States and Mexico. Her music reflects her culture. She collaborates with music educators in New Mexico as both a saxophone teacher and to mold her work. Baca is a Saxophone Clinician and Teacher in the Albuquerque Area. She teaches beginner to semi-professional musicians. She offers different rates depending on skill and time. Aside from her typical contracted work, she provides saxophone, music theory & and composition lessons. 

Music lies at the center of many of her activities. One of which Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity. Seferina comes from a musical family. Her oldest brother and younger sister are music educators in Albuquerque. All of her siblings were in marching and concert bands. She is a member of Chamber Music USA, the North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA), and ASCAP. When she is not composing, you'll find her running a local coffee and boba tea shop in Albuquerque, NM. Otherwise, she enjoys a good book in the company of her two cats, Bevin and Margaret.
